Alysha is originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland, and grew up in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at Acadia University and worked in Nicaragua with an international health non-profit before beginnin

g her medical training at Dalhousie. She is currently PGY-5 in the Dal EM Royal College Emergency Medicine program and will join Dal EM as an assistant professor beginning this July. Her research interests are in quality improvement and equitable access to emergency care. Her research project titled, “Ectopic pregnancy outcomes in the emergency department: a review of delays
