Dr. Chandra Avery was appointed to the role of Director of Patient Safety.

Dr. Katie Gardner took on the role of Director of Quality Improvement.

Dr. Alyson Holland accepted the role of TREKK Physician Lead.

Dr. Ursula Laskowski accepted a second term as Director of the PEM Fellowship Simulation.

Dr. Ashley Martin stepped into the role of Director of PEM UGME, as well as the new role of Physician Wellness Lead for PEM.

Dr. Nancy Murphy has stepped into a new role as President of the Canadian Association for Poison Centres and Clinical Toxicology.

Saint John

Dr. Chris Doiron was appointed to the new position of Wellness Director in the Saint John Department of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Luke Edgar, a graduate of the iFMEM program in Saint John, joined the department as a staff physician in June.

Halifax Infirmary

Dr. Lorri Beatty has retired from her role as Associate Program Director for the Royal College residency training program, while Dr. Tyler Johnston has taken the role of Associate Program Director.

Drs. Jill Carter, Rob Dunfield, James Nunn and Marc Whoriskey have joined the Halifax Infirmary Emergency Department as staff physicians.

Dr. Michael Clory was appointed Assistant Dean of the Masters in Physician Assistant Studies Program, a new academic program in the Dalhousie Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Amy Nason stepped into the new role of Physician Wellness Lead for DalEM’s Halifax Infirmary site.
