CanPOCUS Saint John has donated $10,000 towards the promotion of wellness within the Saint John Emergency Department, including nursing and ancillary staff. This initiative is being favourably received by staff in Saint John!

Saint John emergency medicine leaders Dr. David Lewis and Dr. Paul Atkinson founded CanPoCUS (also known as Emergency and Critical Care Ultrasound, ECCU) more than 20 years ago to provide quality point-of-care ultrasound training in emergency medicine. Originally based only in Saint John, CanPoCUS now includes doctors from across the Maritimes in its faculty, with a centre in Halifax directed by Drs. Henneberry and Cox. CanPoCUS courses have been taught across the UK, Canada, Europe and Africa.
