Join us in congratulating Dr. Paul Atkinson on his new appointment as Chief Scientific Officer of Horizon Health New Brunswick’s new institute for research and innovation!

In this new role, Dr. Atkinson will foster partnerships and collaborations with clinicians, scientists, learners, universities, industry, and other health care providers to improve systems and enhance care quality for New Brunswickers.

Dr. Atkinson is a familiar face to many, as he has, and will continue to, serve as an emergency department physician in the Saint John area and professor and associate dean with Dalhousie Medical New Brunswick, along with supporting WorkSafeNB. His commitment to discovery, education, and patient care will be foundational to his leadership within the institute as we work to fuel new opportunities and bold solutions for patients and health care providers.

Aligning innovation with priority health areas and themes will help to deliver measurable improvements to patient care.
