January 6—Applications for the Raymond L. Roberts Emergency Medicine Young Researcher’s Grant (EMYRG) must be submitted to Megi Nallbani, DalEM’s Research Manager, by Saturday, January 6.

Funded through the QEII Foundation and established in 2023, the Emergency Medicine Young Researchers Grant is open to physicians, nursing staff and paramedics in the Department of Emergency Medicine.

This grant supports new researchers on full-time staff at the Charles V. Keating Emergency and Trauma Centre in Halifax to establish their research programs and increase competitiveness for external funding. Eligible projects include discovery research and quality-improvement studies. Projects that have the potential to develop the careers of EM researchers, those supporting interdisciplinary research and those from applicants within their first five years on staff will be given special attention. Up to four grants of $5,000 will be awarded each year.
