The Department of Emergency Medicine
The Department of Emergency Medicine is a key contributor to Dalhousie Medical School’s education, patient care and research activities. Welcoming learners from many disciplines and across the continuum of education, we provide excellent educational programs across the Maritime provinces.
We are proud to include multiple sites across the Maritime provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island for those not from here).
Teaching sites in Nova Scotia
In Nova Scotia we have two main emergency medicine teaching sites both located in Halifax:
- QEII Health Science Centre, for adult patients;
- IWK Health Centre for pediatric patients.
Teaching sites in New Brunswick
In New Brunswick, our primary teaching site is:
- Saint John Regional with the collocated Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick campus in Saint John.
