Critical Thinking
The Dalhousie University Faculty of Medicine’s novel Critical Thinking Program spans the curriculum of medical education and beyond. Our common conviction—a strong belief that critical thinking should be an integral part of medical education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and throughout continuing professional development informs this program and the work it includes. Led by several Emergency Physicians in collaboration with faculty members from other disciplines, our Teaching and Assessing Critical Thinking (TACT) program level-1 and level-2 has been an international success.
Many faculty members and participants in this Critical Thinking Program hail from our Department og Emergency Medicine. Academic and scholarship in Critical Thinking is an area of continued strength for this group.
